VerifiGlobal Performance Verification Protocol

The VerifiGlobal Performance Verification Protocol (PVP) provides guidance for verifications performed by VerifiGlobal Alliance members. The PVP is consistent with the new ISO standard for ETV, ISO 14034.

VerifiGlobal PVP Outline

Phase 1 – Technology screening and application

  1. Pre-screening
  2. Formal application
  3. Specification of performance to be verified
  4. Stakeholder input
  5. Application review
  6. Feedback to applicant

Phase 2 – Performance testing

  1. Independent third-party testing organization
  2. Technology-specific test plan
  3. Performance testing operating conditions
  4. Sample size
  5. Analytical laboratory requirements
  6. Chain of custody
  7. Quality assurance
  8. Performance testing report

Phase 3 – Performance verification

  1. Independent verification organization
  2. Verification based on ISO FDIS 14034
  3. Acceptance of existing data
  4. Requirement for additional test data
  5. Assessment of data quality
  6. Confirmation of performance
  7. Verification report

Phase 4 – VerifiGlobal recognition

  1. Technology fact sheet and verification certificate
  2. Recognition as part of VerifiGlobal Solutions Network
  3. Posting on VerifiGlobal website
  4. Validity of verification report and verification statement
  5. Expiration
