The Canadian Stormwater Environmental Technology Verification (SETV) project has been established in collaboration with the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) to develop Publicly Available Specifications (PAS) for testing and verification of stormwater manufactured treatment devices.

The 3 draft PAS documents are:
- Draft PAS - Canadian Procedure for Laboratory Testing of Oil-Grit Separators
- Draft PAS - Canadian Procedure for Field Testing of Stormwater Filtration MTDs
- Draft PAS – Guidance on the Use and Application of Results from Verified Laboratory and Field Testing for Stormwater MTDs.
Should you wish to comment on the draft PAS documents, you can do so via the online commenting forms available for each of the PAS documents on the TRCA – STEP website:
- The commenting form for the “Draft PAS - Canadian Procedure for Laboratory Testing of Oil-Grit Separators” will be available until Friday March 31, 2023
- The commenting form for the “Draft PAS - Canadian Procedure for Field Testing of Stormwater Filtration MTDs” will be available until Friday March 31, 2023
- The commenting form for the “Draft PAS – Guidance on the Use and Application of Results from Verified Laboratory and Field Testing for Stormwater MTDs will be available from Wednesday March 15, 2023 to Friday April 14, 2023
All comments received through the online forms will be reviewed by TRCA, VerifiGlobal, and the Canadian SETV Project Steering Group.
Final PAS documents will be released in June 2023.
